The Artist - Natalie Finney
Natalie Finney is a photographic artist based in Melbourne.
Natalie has achieved recognition for her work through various awards and accolades including being nominated as a finalist in the prestigious Olive Cotton Award 2021, National Photographic Portrait Prize 2020, named #3 in Capture Magazines’ Emerging Portrait Photographers of 2020 and published in a number of magazines.
Through her body of work, Natalie seeks to examine themes of childhood, family and a connection to nature, the outdoors and the Australian bush, which she lovingly recalls exploring during her own youth.

Blush is an artwork from Natalie’s photographic series titled Florallegory, representing the interconnection between humankind and the natural world. It draws parallels between human beings and plant life on earth through such qualities as resilience, transience, beauty and wonder.
