Photographs for Peace
Now closed. Thank you for your support.
In response to the growing humanitarian crisis in Gaza, largely impacting women and children, Photographs for Peace raised funds for Médecins Sans Frontières and Save the Children.
The affordable art fundraising sale ran from 19 Jan - 2 Feb 2024.
Together we sold 300 artworks, raising a total of $17,707
for Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders
and Save the Children.
What was Photographs for Peace about?
Leading Artists at an Accessible Price
37 prominent and emerging Australian female photographers have donated their works.
Some of these artists never release prints; some are in the collection of The Museum of Contemporary Art; some release limited edition prints spanning $200 to $7,000.
This fundraiser is an accessible entry to art ownership, with all 8x10 or 8x12 archival quality prints at only $70 + shipping.
Every dollar above basic printing costs and payment processing fees goes directly to the charities.
Standing Together Against Helplessness
The campaign, beyond fundraising, seeks to foster solidarity and shared responsibility in a time of overwhelming hopelessness and helplessness.
A January launch offers a moment of reflection after the December consumerist rush. Our mindful choices can have an enduring impact.

Teneale Cameron, Senior Fundraising Manager at Médecins Sans Frontières Australia
“MSF is so grateful for the generosity shown by this collective of Australian photographers. This comes at a time where the medical humanitarian situation in Gaza is beyond catastrophic. We continue to call for an immediate ceasefire to prevent further civilian deaths and to allow aid workers unrestricted access to provide lifesaving medical care to the two million Gazans who desperately need it today.”
Emily May Gunawan, Artist
“We live in such a content heavy world, and it can feel tough to constantly produce image/content that is not helping or saving any lives.”
Hannah Jennings, Community Fundraising Coordinator at Save the Children
“Currently, no child in Gaza is safe from violence. Children in the region are enduring hunger, lack of shelter and limited access to medical assistance. Save the Children is so appreciative to receive the support of Agender. Thanks to the support of the community, we can continue our work fighting for a world where every child can thrive.”
Yasmin Mund, Photographer
“I am honoured to be amongst so many talented female artists aligning for a very important cause.”
